Analysis on Application Practice of Grid-Forming Energy Storage in Xinjiang Power Grid

摘要:

新疆电网以高比例新能源为主,呈现“西电东送”的典型特征,存在长距离输电与弱馈入运行的双重问题。构网型储能技术因其电压源特性,成为破解新疆新能源消纳难题、保障电网安全的核心支撑技术,在新疆进行了示范验证。从电力系统实际需求出发,描述了构网型储能的技术特征,以新疆电网中的典型应用场景和示范工程解释了构网型储能在未来电力系统中的功能,探讨了构网型储能工程在并网接入中的技术指标和存在的问题,给出了构网型储能的发展建议,为构网型储能的发展提供了实践参考。

Abstract:

The Xinjiang power grid is dominated by a high proportion of renewable energy and exhibits the typical west-to-east power transmission. It faces the dual challenges of long-distance power transmisson and weak-infeed operation. Grid-forming energy storage technology, with its voltage-source characteristics, has become a core supporting technology for addressing Xinjiang’s renewable energy accommodation challenges and ensuring grid security, and it has undergone demonstration validation in the region. Starting from the actual requirements of the power system, the technical features of grid-forming energy storage are described. Using typical application scenarios and demonstration projects in the Xinjiang power grid, it explains the functions that grid-forming energy storage will perform in future power systems. The technical indicators and existing issues related to the grid connection of grid-forming energy storage projects are discussed, and development suggestions are provided, offering practical references for the advancement of this technology.
