Technical Research on Interleaved Parallel Boost PFC Circuit

Abstract:

In response to the problem of excessive voltage stress in the switching devices of conventional Boost converters,the interleaved parallel Boost converters were studied.Firstly,the advantages of interleaved parallel Boost power factor correction(PFC) circuits in reducing input current ripple,inductor core size,and output capacitor current were derived.Then,the key parameters of the main circuit of the converter,and a double closed-loop control system based on average current control were designed.Finally,it was verified by the simulation experiments.The results show that the interleaved parallel Boost converters can not only achieve the power factor correction well in high-power situations,but also effectively reduce the current stress of power devices,the input current ripple and the volume of inductor magnetic components,and improve power levels.
