Metering Resistor Life Evaluation of Smart Electricity Meter Based on Accelerated Degradation Test

Abstract:

According to the latest Single-Phase Smart Electricity Meter (2020 Edition) General Technical Specification, the service life of the smart electricity meter should be no less than 16 years.The safe and reliable operation of metering resistor of smart electricity meter is directly related to the accuracy of metering precision of smart electricity meter.Considering the influence of ambient temperature in the operation of smart electricity meter,the accelerated degradation test on the metering and sampling resistor of smart electricity meter is conducted.The reliability of the metering resistor of smart electricity meter is evaluated.The results provide a basis for the evaluation and improvement of the reliable life of smart electricity meter under the new standard, and the established model can predict the service life of metering resistor under the actual working conditions.
