Research on MPPT Method of PV Array under Partial Shadow Based on Dolphin Swarm Algorithm

Abstract:

The traditional maximum power point (MPPT) tracking method is in failure under partial shadow,the particle swarm algorithm,and easy to fall into local search;in the optimization of multimodal function,the dolphin swarm algorithm (DSA) has the advantages of fast convergence speed and high convergence accuracy.Therefore,the DSA is applied to PV MPPT,and a MPPT control method based on the DSA is proposed.In this paper,MATLAB/Simulink is used to build a PV MPPT model,and it is compared with the particle swarm algorithm in multiple illumination modes for simulation verification.The simulation shows that the proposed method can accurately search for the global maximum power point,and the convergence speed is increased by 50%~60%,which reflects the superiority of the method.
