Optimization Design of Magnetic Blowing System for High Voltage DC Contactors

Abstract:

In the magnetic arc extinguishing system of high voltage DC contactors,a permanent magnet is often used to elongate the arc to extinguish it when the arc burns,and the arc extinguishing time directly affects the number of times the product has a lifespan.Research has shown that the stronger the magnetic induction intensity of a permanent magnet,the shorter the arc extinguishing time,but the magnetic induction intensity at the contact center is directly related to the geometric center magnetic induction intensity of the permanent magnet.By optimizing the structure of commonly used magnetic blowing arc extinguishing systems through simulation,the magnetic induction intensity at the geometric center of a single permanent magnet is reduced,and the spatial magnetic induction intensity of the magnetic blowing arc extinguishing system is improved to enhance the production efficiency and service life of high voltage DC contactor products.
