Discussion on Voltage Sag Indices and Severity of International Advanced Grids

Abstract

Abstract:

In order to assess the severity of voltage sag,the foreign power utilities analyze the monitoring data using different indices.Therefore,the evaluation of voltage sag severity in international advanced grids needs to understand application of the indices.The dip statistic is also need to collect and analyze.First,the definition and application of voltage sag indices in foreign grids are introduced.Secondly,statistics of voltage sag indices is shown and dip characteristic parameters are analyzed.Finally,sag indices in international cases are converted into SARFI-70,which is the baseline to make comparison among different grids.The introduction of dip assessment in international advanced grids is helpful for comprehending the current status of dip management in foreign countries and provides references for domestic grid.
