Abstract:

Electrical connectors are highly susceptible to signal intermittent faults under stress environments such as vibration, shock, and temperature variation. Therefore,to accurately evaluate the influence of environmental stress levels on the reliability of electrical connectors,a system architecture integrating continuous monitoring of 8-channel contact resistance and intermittent fault signals is proposed. The designed four-wire measurement circuit enables accurate measurement and high-speed acquisition of resistance in the range of 1 mΩ to 10 Ω,and the designed FPGA-based intermittent fault monitoring circuit enables precise capture of intermittent fault events with a minimum duration of 100 ns.The proposed system is characterized by independent acquisition, synchronous transmission, and parallel analysis of multi-channel signals.Test results demonstrate that the developed monitoring system can meet the requirements of reliability test evaluation and failure mechanism research of electrical connectors.
