Abstract:

Virtual synchronous generator (VSG) is an effective solution for the friendly integration of large-scale renewable energy. To address the problem of synchronous frequency resonance (SFR) caused by VSG, a small-signal coupling model of active power-frequency and reactive power-voltage is established, the impact of coupling on SFR is analyzed, and the intrinsic causes of SFR are revealed. Then, a virtual impedance feedforward control method is proposed, where the parameters of virtual impedance are designed by comprehensively considering the bandwidth and damping of the active power loop, achieving a good SFR suppression effect. Finally, compared with the traditional virtual impedance method, the superiority and effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulations and experiments.
