Research on Pulse Width Modulation Strategy of High Power Two-level Voltage Source Inverter

Abstract: Aim

ing at the problem caused by low switching frequency of power devices in high-power two-level voltage source inverter,a multi-mode PWM strategy with asynchronous space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) in low frequency and synchronous SVPWM and specific harmonic elimination pulse width modulation (SHEPWM) in medium frequency is proposed.This modulation strategy can avoid the problems of excessive storage of SHEPWM switching angle at low frequency and high harmonic voltage content at medium frequency.The voltage vector equivalent method is used to realize the smooth switching between SHEPWM and SVPWM,and the current harmonic zero crossing method is used to realize the smooth transition between SHEPWM.different carrier ratios of MATLAB/Simulink is used to build the simulation platform to verify the feasibility of the multi-mode PWM strategy.
